Not all trainers are the same. Our lead trainer at K-9 Capers has over 20 years in animal rescue feld and has worked with families training their pets since 2003. We only work with trainers who use positive methods and we never use shock or pinch collars which only provide a temporary relief of the problem and does not permanently solve the problem.

Dog training and behavior modification can be complex. Problems should be dealt with the root issue or they will return in another form. We understand this very well which is why we  believe in certifed and qualifed trainers who pursue continuing education to provide the best training standards and practices in the area.

We not only offer behavior modifcation workshops but have classes that provide the gold standard for you and your family pet such as the American Kennel Club STAR PUPPY, Canine Good CItizen, and Therapy Dog training and testing.

All of our classes and workshops are fun so the whole family can participate.

Join us for any of the following services and workshops by clicking on the classes and workshops page.

If you are out of our service area, be sure to always review a trainers background. Ask about ALL the methods used. Visit www.APDT.com for a professional trainer search in your area.

Testimonials:

“As a parent, I have been so pleased with what both my children and I have learned working with Donna. Her positive reinforcement techniques were easy to learn, worked well with our dog, and most importantly were much easier for the whole family to use than
outdated training practices.  That gave us a level of consistency among family members that we couldn't have achieved otherwise.

We started classes with our one dog.  The kids worked so hard that they were allowed to adopt two pound puppies.  We did classes with them and were thrilled with theresults.
Knowing that we have Donna as a resource and teacher gave us the confidence to tackle fostering dogs for a local humane society a year ago.  As a family, we have worked with puppies and dogs, meeting their physical and behavioral needs, which increases each dog's chance of  being adopted and living a long and happy life.  Donna has helped us work with these animals and provided guidance and encouragement.”

I adore k-9 capers training for so many reasons. The work with dogs andchildren is just amazing. The results are astounding to me at times. Throughmy own personal journey with cancer k-9 capers training help me with a dogof mine by letting one of the members take her and work with her while I wasgoing through treatments and the emotional trauma. They were not justhelping they were eager to help and got my dog through her Canine GoodCitizens Award. I now spend lots of time there and love when Saturdays come
so I can go and see what is going to happen next. Donna Rogers the leader ofthis group is great at what she does, she is very patient with the childrenand the dogs because she has a genuine love for the dogs and children, just being there you can see that spilling out all over Donna. I hope to continueto spend lots of time with this group and to get more involved in helpingbecause I can see the wonderful way in which the kids benefit from thisgroup and also see that they love what they are doing. They also do a lot ofthings in giving back to the community which is fantastic. For my son it hasbeen an adventure, learning experience and has taught him so much aboutanimals and the way they feel and think and he has become a very goodtrainer for his dog Bebe, Bebe and Collin now do visits because he trainedBebe and she is now an official Therapy dog and my little man Gizmo is now aTherapy dog thanks to k-9 capers training and waiting to do his first visit.I could go on and on so if you would like to know more just search me outand ask!

Sincerely,
